A Melee Warlock Prestige class [Archive] - Wizards Community

06-29-05, 04:07 PM Hey I am playing a ranger/warlock in a campaign and the lack of prestige classes got to me. So I threw this one together. The roleplay behind it is the Warlock draws his power from the Fey, somewhere long ago in his past his family was touched by the Fey and he is slowly awakening this inside himself. So let me know what you think.

Skills: Survival 6 ranks, Knowledge Nature 5 ranks
Special: 2 Favored Enemies, 3 Invocations Known, Wild Empathy

Hit points: 1d6

Class Skills:
Bluff, Concentration, Craft, Disguise, Intimidate, Jump, Knowledge Arcana, Knowledge Planes, Knowledge Religion, Knowledge Nature, Profession, Sense Motive, Spellcraft, Use Magic Device, Survival, Climb, Spot, Listen, Hide, Move silently, Handle Animal

Skill Points at Each Level: 4 + Int Modifier

Class Features:
Unearthly Speed: The Eldritch Champion begins to tap into his Fey Blood and begins moving at a +10 base movement as well as being able to track at normal speed with no penalties.
Wild Empathy: The Eldritch Champion continues to stay in touch with animals and gains Wild Empathy as a Ranger would.
Additional Favored Enemy: The Eldritch Champion gains another favored enemy from the Rangers chosen list, though they get +3 rather than the normal +2 vs demons.
Fey Ascention I: The Eldritch Champion ties to Nature are slowly bringing out the Fey Blood from within granting him a +1 to Cha and his features become more angular and defined.
Additional Favored Enemy: The Eldritch Champion gains another favored enemy from the Rangers chosen list, though they get +3 rather than the normal +2 vs demons.
Fey Ascention II: The Eldritch Champion draws further on the power of his Fey Blood gaining +2 to Cha as well as changing his eyes to smokey spheres.
Quicken SLA 2/day: The Eldritch Champion gains the ability to use 2 SLA’s as a free action per day.
Fey Transformation: Reaching back and fully awakening his Fey Blood the Eldritch Champion’s race switches from human to Fey. As well as gaining dmg reduction 10/cold iron.
Bonus Feats: These can be drawn from Improved Two Weapon Fighting, Greater Two Weapon Fighting, and all the maximize, empower, and whatnot for SLA's.

Some things I was considering was maybe raising the base attack, or hps... any feedback is welcomed I want to make sure this is balanced. Thanks.

How long have you waited since you posted on the Prestige Classes board? Wait a day or so, and then if no one replies bump it, with maybe some things you want people to look at.

I think what Khazra meant (though I could be wrong) is that posting the PrC on the PrC board, then coming here and asking for advice building a good character around it is perfectly okay.
