Hey guys,
I've been wanting to play a vermin-type for a long time now. I don't have my books with me but I know that vermin keeper and verminlord both have the potential to be very powerful builds. So, if anyone has played one and has a build that works well please post it.

My DM allows any sources to be used as we have nearly every printed WotC product.

the obvious choices would be druid/verminkeeper but I'd like to work in some vermin lord or even thrall of jubelix if it's possible. Anything goes in his campaigns.

It has some neat abilities. I was assuming that when paired with other classes and posibly another vermin PrC it could be quite formidable. The burden of proof isn't on me hence the existence of this topic. Why don't you show me that it's weak. Then I'll rebut. ;)

No I hadn't seen that. Thank you.

The inherent weakness of the PrC is that it doesn't advance your HD for the purpose of wildshaping...therefore, you're stuck with measly wildshapes. It's a major flaw of the class. If you could get your DM to make a clause that it stacks with druid levels (perhaps at a -2) for the purpose of HD, duration, etc, then it would be playable. Otherwise, it is VERY subpar to creations like the Master of Many Forms which actually gains wildshape (vermin) later...

Yes as I was posting that the Master of Many Forms came to mind. Vermin Lord has much more promise and should in fact probably be named "vermin keeper" hehe. The thing is I don't want to totally break our game, just own it. Vermin Lord would be very easy to break the game with a little knowledge.
