Hi!:tiphat:
I need for a new PC for an Unaprociable East campagne; i'm thinking to a volodni druid of the Great Vale. I'm developing the BackGround of my new PC but the progression & the power?
I search advices for the PrC, feats or other to make my druid an unfogettable character! And a uncontainable war machine!
Thak you for helping!

Cut the guy some slack - his location says Italy, which means English is probably not his 1st language.

Of course, the advice is still sound - Natural Spell, Draconic Wild Shape and because you're from the East, you might be able to use Rashemi Elemental Summoning.

You don't want to find a PrC for the Druid - all 20 levels is just fine.

Snow had some druid advice in a thread i seem to have lost, but basically it's as follows..

Druid 20:
Human: Spell Focus (Conjuration)
1: Augment Summoning
3: Spell Penetration
6: Natural Spell
9: Exalted Wildshape (BoED)
12: Dragon Wildshape (Draconomicon)
15: Rashemi Elemental Summoning (UE)
18: Greater Spell Penetration

RES nets you templated air elementals blasting 15d6 cones of cold or templated earth elementals with an Englulf ability

Venerable is cool if you can stand the -6 to str/dex/con

Only negative point is spell pen @ lvl 3, other than that it's MY personal fav

Spell Penetration isent truely needed, although its usefull. some things a lower level druid could take could be multi attack, or power attack, if the focus isnt in spells but in wildshapes.

Is Unearthed Arcana allowed? If so, take Murky-Eyed (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/buildingCharacters/characterFlaws.htm#murkyEyed) and Noncombatant (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/buildingCharacters/characterFlaws.htm#noncombatant) for two more feats.

On a similar note, what sources are allowed, what races and classes are in your party, what's your starting level, how much time do you have before the game starts, and when should we be expect to be paid for this? Erm.. Eh hem. Change the last question to, "What to you most want to be able to do?"

I wasn't aware that l33t speak or d00d was the national language in italy either.

Those are probably the two worst flaws to take as a druid.

Some MUCH better ones would be Inattentive and Shaky. You will not make *nearly* as many ranged attacks as you will melee attacks and your insane Wisdom will overpower the Inattentive flaw, not to mention that Spot and Listen are both class skills *and* as a human he gets 5+int (Which should end up at about 7 or 8) skills per level.

Even with those two flaws, it would be nearly impossible to hide from a druid. Not to mention that taking the Murky-Eyed flaw practically *begs* the DM to use Blur, Displacement, and Blink over and over.

As a matter of preference, I quite dislike taking penalties to Spot or/and Listen.

Even though you have wisdom as a casting stat, both as class skills (and the skill points to fill them out), and then access to magic items at a later time? If you went all-out spotmonkey then you would likely wind up with a +60 or so to spot and listen. -4 is *not* making a dent on that, especially when you consider that your Animal Companion can have at least one of those maxed as well and can also use Scent to detect anything it can't see.

Also, taking a 2 level hit from Volodnis LA is almost unacceptable in any Druid build, assuming you can't buy them off.
Why do you need the immunities when you are going to be an Animal most of the time and lose those immunities?

Quick question on the new "polymorph" rules. Would a Volodni keep any of his bonuses when Wildshaped?

If you consider the new "plymorph" 'rules' to be "rules," than no, the Volodni does not keep any of his bonuses while Wildshaped.

In fact, if a creature had the racial ability to retain it's racial abilities while Wildshaped, it would loose that ability while Wildshaped too. And the (Shapechanger) subtype.

So this means that a shapechanger can't return to its natural form as a standard action, contrary to what the rules say.
