. . . and give me full spell progression. In the core material, I have found three: the Alienist, the Contemplative, and the Verdant Lord.

I do not know the campaign setting as of right now, but I noticed that the Divine Disciple from the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting accomplishes the same thing in five levels rather than ten levels.

I have all of the third edition core books and Forgotten Realms books if anyone would be willing to point out any other classes in this vein, it would be helpful.

Thanks.

Hello MasterSword,

I find the best class to become an outsider is the Divine Disciple from FRCS. For five levels, it also gives you a bonus domain. It was reprinted in the PGtF.

If you want to try it, you could always use the rules from Savage Species to convert into a Shade character. For a +4 LA, they gain a whole slew of abilities, such as bonuses to attributes, spell-like abilities (especially Greater Teleport, Invisibility, and Plane Shift), SR, Shadow Jumping, etc.

Just my $0.01 (I'm too poor to pay $0.02). Happy Gaming.

You could just be an outsider race. Planetouched would work nicely.

Shadowcrafter from Underdark is an illusionist and it bumps up your shadow spells (evocation and conjuration) and at level 10 you turn into a native outsider...

In Player's Guide to Faerun, there is a feat that turns certain races, such as Deep Imaskari humans and Star Elves, into native outsiders.

Oh, oops, 3.0 only.
