| IceFractal09-17-06, 03:39 AM | I'm working on a psionic character, and I was wondering if there's a guide on effective power selection - the one in the library seems somewhat specialized to Telepaths. If a more comprehensive guide exists, could someone point me to it? Otherwise, I've got a question about offensive powers at low-level. Specifically - is Matter Agitation practical? I know Crystal Shard is more popular, but with Crystal Storm at 2nd level, I think I'll just wait for that. Matter Agitation seems like a good way to conserve power points, but does the slow activation make it useless in combat? |

I imagine the same would be true for psionics since the damage output of offensive powers is so low, and even if they fail their saving throw or get hit the damage is liable to be minimal, especially considering that a fighter or barbarian's minimum damage would almost certainly strike the enemy down in one hit. Taking a quick look your best options appear to be Psionic Grease, Psionic Daze, and Demoralize. A far cry from Sleep, but what can I do... |
