| Gehenna07-27-05, 04:05 PM | At level 10, the Daggerspell mage gains the ability to quicken a spell as part of the a full attack. Is he allowed to use this more than once is a round? For example (and this is the buld that makes me wonder): Rogue 2/Sorcerer 3/Daggerspell Mage 10/Telflammer Shadowlord 5 Could I, for example, cast dimension door, teleporting myself within striking distance of someone and then taking, once I take my full attack from shadowlord, use daggerspell flurry to cast Dimension door, teleport within striking distance of someone, take my full attack and then cast dimension door again? I know I could do it once. That is to say, I could cast, attack, cast, attack...but I don't know if I can continue repeating the pattern until I ran out of uses of Daggerspell Flurry. (The real fun comes with Lutzaen's Frequent Jaunt...which provides a free dimension door every round as a move action. I could cast any spell, use the jaunt, attack, dimension door, attack, getting two full attacks and a spell off in teh same turn) |

| Ad Infinitum07-27-05, 05:01 PM | Also: Dimension Door says that you can't do anything else once you've cast it. Greater Teleport is what you want. It does bring up an interesting point; if the character has the Multispell epic feat, can he use the ability multiple times? Multispell can be taken multiple times; at level 30, could you be casting five spells a rround AND making a full attack? Actually, no, you really can't. Looking at the actual book, it says "one spell". Sorry. |
| Gehenna07-27-05, 09:12 PM | Thank you Caelic and PonTelon for confirming what I thought. Actually you do get to do as I stated with dimension door as the Shadowlord explicitly states that you get to make a full attack when you use a teleport effect, including dimension door. Furthermore, DSM states that you can quicken one spell as part of a full attack. Convenient, isn't it? |
