| Stalwartmonkey05-01-06, 03:44 PM | which is going to do more average damage, a double scimatar (1d6/1d6 18-20 X2) with improved crit, or an orc double axe (1d8/1d8 X3) with improved crit? |
| Valanthe05-01-06, 03:53 PM | Short Answer: Depends on the AC of the target. Long Answer:I'll run the math on different AC targets tomorrow night. |

It actually depends on the damage you do, which, if you have power attack, is dependent on the AC of the target. If you have at least +8 to damage, the double scimitars will be better (assuming you always hit you opponent on a 15+ attack roll). |
| MechaboyDos05-01-06, 05:38 PM | If you happen to be playing a Revenant Blade then the Double Scimitar will likely be superior. You get 1.5x Str mod to both ends, as opposed to Str mod on the primary and half Str mod on the off with the Orc Double-Axe. If you have Power Attack that'll increase your damage substantially. |
