ElecWolf 08-09-05, 08:34 PM	Looking to optimize a 'rider' type. The details are being kept under wraps for now I just need generalities... I really like the halfling outrider, but my character isn't going to be a halfling. He may be small, I'm still debating that... I'm going to be ECL 25, probably 5 of that in race... The DM will only allow things specifically out of WotC books and very strict interpretation. I'm going to be stretching it for the mount I want to get so the most ECL you can get me in that area the better. Let me know what you got and I'll let details out as they form. :)

He (she) will be my next character if i die again :weep: My personal build (for ECL25): Human 12 Druid / 3 Wiz / 10 Arcane Hierophant (from RoW). Feats(Lvl): Improved Initiative(1),Spell Penetration(1),Extend(3),Nature Bond(6 from CV),Nature Spell(9),Mounted Combat(12),Greater Spell Penetration(15),Ride By Attack(18),Epic Spell Penetration(21) and Legendary Rider(24). Arcane caster lvl: 13 (7th lvl spells) Divine caster lvl: 22 (9th lvl spells) For Druid Animal Companion: 25 Animal Companion become a Familiar Companion (now magical beast but druid animal spell affect it) with familiar sorcerer abilities (Int,+special abilities) + druid cie abilities. Now your Animal Compagnion is your mount, if it die, just resummon it. Suggestion: Dire Polar Bear from Frostburn (awesome) for Companion (with a -18lvl). Notes : RoW=Races of wild and CV=Complete adventurer.

Kharmakazy 08-11-05, 02:29 AM	I'm working on a character similar to this... I want to make a druid focused on riding his animal companion. Does the natures bond feat work on advanced animal companions? I mean that if you are level 9 and you pick from an alternate list... it would help to cancel out the penalty? Im not sure whether or not that works.

And you don't need to be a halfling. Not that I have anything against halflings. Yeah. I'm not a halfling hater. I'M NOT! (Looks around awkwardly)
ElecWolf 08-12-05, 01:03 AM	Ok, where is the Wild Plains Outrider? And, can anyone point me in the right direction for Drakes? My DM won't take the ones on the website. :( I'd like to avoid the Paladin levels, I know it's nice to summon the mount and be able to summon it the next day if it dies, but something about only having it for 10mins per day is kind of... Blah.
