Hi to all
My Dm is starting a new evil campaign and I’ll be playing the rogue and decided to based my char. Off of Vage from street fighter an I was wondering what would be the best way of doing it.

Starting Pc lvl 5
Abilities score: Str 12, Dex 19, Con 15, Int 16, Wis 10, Cha 14
(No they can’t be move Dm set them)

Thank you for your time.

p.s I’m just asking because of all the new books out there and I just want to make a good build.

Ahem, first off, let me say 2 things; 1, rouge is french for red, and it is also makeup. 2, I believe you mean "Vega", not "Vage". Vega was the one that used the long claw weapon.

Vega seems more monk-like to me, but if you are set on rogue, then perhaps prestige into assassin later?

Really, to get the best help from the C.O. boards, you are gonna have to give out a build to work with, not just stats and an idea.

The bladed gauntlets (from the Arms and Equipment Guide) look sort of like Vega's claw and would be a fair approximation. If you wanted to make a fighting rogue, you could do something like Rogue 16 / Fighter 2 / Exotic Weapon Master 2 (though not in exactly that order) and would do fine enough.

Claw Bracer is a weapon, in a Forgotten Realms book (FRCS, perhaps? I don't remember).

Yes there is a clawed bracer in Forgotten Realms book, but my DM & I have come up with a, or claw brace.
By using the tiger claw out of the (AEG) & changing the dm form 1d4 to d6. The reason behind this is because the length of Vega's claw is roughly that of a shortsword.

Thank you for your time.
Now Rass Frostwhisper first off, let me say I have four points to give to you.

One, I care not for the French and there ways.

Two, the last time I played street fighter was about when it first came out in an arcade. If your to young to remember that, it was over a decade ago in a mall.

Three, sorry if my spelling offends you but get over it, I did. The point being is that you got the idea. Next time you call a word spelled incorrectly double check. I spelled ROGUE as it is in the PHB. Do you really want me to start passing out page numbers?

Four. A build idea does not need much more than a character’s stats. The idea of asking was to pass about ideas on how the character can advance, not how it will. At least I handed out the levels that it is starting with as well as the character’s concept.

sorry five have a nice day... somewhere else.

Hands down he is a Swordsage from ToB. Use the adaptation rules for the Unarmed Strike progression and you're gold.

Well thats kinda stupid. There are a lot of things you could learn from the French.

If you want any little bit of insignificant video game trivia, it's probably somewhere on that site.

Read the posting guidelines. Yes, a concept and stats is enough to build a character, but we don't build characters that we will never use.

Overt hostility towards people who respond to your thread is the *worst* way to get help on a build.

The truth is that people who can articulate their ideas clearly to the widest audience tend to get the most help - that includes spelling and grammar.

I had assumed if you wanted to play a character concept, you would have brushed up on the concept, as I had done before I even bothered to reply the first time, in order to make sure the information I gave was accurate.

1) Vega is spanish.
2) Vega trained as a matador, and then trained in ninjutsu, hence my suggestion for the possibility of monk. A combination of grace, professionalism, and martial arts.
3) Vega was in-fact an assassin, hence that suggestion.
4) He was an -extremely- narcissistic person, he wore his mask, not because he didn't want to be seen, but to protect, what he thought, his superb beauty.

Personally, I didn't get much info from that site on this topic. I go there if I need codes though. Good site for that.

That was precisely the reason I suggested you give us a build first. It's common courtesy here on the char-op boards. This is stickied at the very top of the forum, but I'll quote it here for you;
2) Help me threads are where you ask for advice or help on your character. You may ask how to make the best archer or ask advice on whether or not to take a certain prestige class. Or basically ask for any kind of help.

Etiquette: First off it can be very rude to simply demand that someone make you a character. Additionally since there are so many ways to make a character it is best if you supply what you were thinking about in the first place and let people give you ideas from there. And finally there is no such thing as a free lunch, so you need to put in some work yourself.

So instead of saying “Min/Max Me a Cleric”. Instead say “Could I have help min/maxing the character I include below. I really want to have the destruction domain, any suggestions for maximizing that aspect?” I think you will find that the more effort you put in yourself, the more help you will get.

Well, for "ping"ing you, it's a fair rebuttle to say that people that mis-spell "rogue" is a "ping" for me.

And as for correcting "Vega", That was more to help people who came to find out what you wanted, but had no idea what "vage" was. A proper spelling allows for easier access to information regarding the subject.

I was trying to help you.

I find it quite funny that he came back, and still hasn't fixed the misspelled "rouge" and "vage" in the thread title. A five-word thread title and he spelled less than half the words correctly. Posters like this always provide me a little laugh.

To the OP, I'll second Swordsage from Tome of Battle, although other things could get you the same or a better effect as well. And note, Swordsage, along with the unarmed strike adaptation, is a class, not a "feet" as you so ineptly put it.

It might be worth looking into something that grants a climb speed, given Vega's penchant for scaling fences. Mountain Spirit Folk (Unapproachable East) could be one place to start, though I sure others might provide alternate suggestions.

Your wisdom score is probably too low to warrant Ninja or Monk levels, IMO. I'd go Rogue for sure.

Rog 4/Ftr 2/Assassin 9/Thief-Acrobat 5

As for your previous erratum, I would proudly join this "Online campaign for real english" if I thought it would actually do something. Unfortunately, there are far too many others that simply cannot be bothered to perform a task as tedious as spell-checking.
