A Simple gear question [Archive] - Wizards Community

05-02-05, 07:26 AM I play a fighter/rogue about to take his first level of dervish.

Is Armour of the unending hunt [CD] worth it? Or should I just get mithril breastplate.

Armour of the unending Hunt: 10900
Armour bonus: 7
ACP: -2
Makes the wearer immmune to fatigue and exhaustion.

+2 Mithril breastplate: 8200
Armour bonus: 7
ACP -1

Things to consider is that the mithril breastplate will allow me totumble at full speed on level earlier (not that far off due to dervish) and save me 2.5 grand, which can go towards my offensive power.

On the other hand, the armour of the unending hunt means I don't take any penalties if my dervish dance runs out. (lasts 5 rounds at level 7).

The best, albeit most expensive, solution would be mithral armor of the unending hunt - if your DM would allow it (and, of course, assuming the AotUH is metal). I'm sure if that was an option you wouldn't be asking though :) How much cash do you have available?

If you plan on dervish dancing a lot, I'd say it's worth it. If you plan on saving it, a mithral breastplate is probably worth it instead.
