| BronzeBeard12-02-04, 10:09 AM | ya all know the WarCraft trolls? (of course you do, how could you not?) So, I want to try and build a 20th level progression that will give us a headhunter troll that will be sort of the warcraft troll kind. the statistics for WC trolls is: Race: Forest Troll, which means he gets - Racial HD: 2 Levels: 2d8 HD; +2 BaB; base save 3 Ref, 3 Will; Level Adj: +1 Gender: Male Abilities: Str +6; Dex +2; Con +6; Wis -2; Cha -4; The abilities bonuses, basicly, means that the axethrower feat from Players guide to Faerun is almost a must. |
| Sang-Drax12-02-04, 02:42 PM | Where's the forest troll from? |
| Voldenuit12-02-04, 05:58 PM | Monster Manual III. If you ever need to look up a source in the future, try DnDIndex (http://www.juicymango.co.uk/dndindex/Default.aspx) . Cheers, V Edit: BTW, the Forest Troll has 5 Racial HD and +5 LA, making it a rather unattractive ECL10 for a 0th level character. Combined with sucky giant BAB and saves, it is somewhat less than useless as a PC race. |
| Iron Chef Vastrox12-02-04, 06:17 PM | Monster Manual III. No, he's referring to the 3rd Party Manual of Monsters sourcebook for the Warcraft III campaign setting put out by Sword & Sorcery. The Warcraft Forest Troll is Size Large at only ECL 3, so it makes for a really easy Hulking Hurler build. That's the way that I went when I designed an NPC Forest Troll to travel with my Alliance party. Try to get an Ogre Mage to enchant you with a Magic Tattoo of weapon enhancement as early as possible. That means that as a Hulking Hurler anything you throw is automatically a +enhancement weapon. That way you never run out of ammunition, and your weapon is always up to snuff. |

The (WC) troll is from Manual of Monsters, WarCraft RPG. |

That is a nice way to 'greater' the troll once I play him. But I'm not playing him, I want to see how a troll headhunter, from the game, would look like in a statistics block (in mm or whatever). The troll from the MoM is nice to use but not granting me the answer to the game real troll. |
