| Timespike10-24-06, 05:35 PM | In the process of making some NPCs, I stumbled across a true triple-threat build; a primary spellcaster that can function almost as a party unto himself: Anyway, here's the Build: Rogue 1/Wizard 4/Unseen Seer 4/Abjurant Champion 5/Eldritch Knight 6 The feats I picked for my NPC were as follows, but it's probably possible to do quite a bit better. H Able Learner 1 Militia 3 Weapon Finesse 6 Combat Casting 9 Fiery Burst 12 Magic Sensitive 15 Somatic Weaponry B Quick Draw 18 Flick of the Wrist If you use fractional BAB, pick up the 5th level of unseen seer and drop eldritch knight to 5. The two 5th-level class ablities for unseen seer are pretty darn cool. If you want to go for maximum cheese and/or don't want to use militia, go with rogue 1/wizard 4/unseen seer 4/dragonslayer 1/spellsword 1/abjurant champion 5/eldritch knight 4 edit: no sooner had I finished composing this, than an even better idea struck me. Check THIS out: Level 1 Rogue 1 [Able Learner, Martial Study] Level 2 Wizard 1 [Scribe Scroll] Level 3 Wizard 2 [Weapon Finesse] Level 4 Wizard 3 Level 5 Wizard 4 Level 6 Unseed Seer 1 [Martial Study] Level 7 Unseen Seer 2 Level 8 Unseen Seer 3 Level 9 Unseen Seer 4 [Combat Casting] Level 10 Abjurant Champion 1 Level 11 Abjurant Champion 2 Level 12 Abjurant Champion 3 [Martial Stance] Level 13 Abjurant Champion 4 Level 14 Abjurant Champion 5 Level 15 Jade Phoenix Mage 1 [Summon Elemental] Level 16 Jade Phoenix Mage 2 Level 17 Jade Phoenis Mage 3 Level 18 Jade Phoenix Mage 4 [Dimensional Jaunt] Level 19 Jade Phoenix Mage 5 Level 20 Jade Phoenix Mage 6 First Martial Study Maneuver: Crusader's strike Second Martial Study maneuver: Shadow Jaunt Martial Stance Study: Assassin's Stance Maneuvers from Jade Phoenix mage: Divine Surge Death mark Searing Charge Stance from Jade Phoenix Mage: Aura of Triumph The reserve feats will prove pretty useful once you get them. Assassin's stance + summon elemental = 5d6 sneak attack and you'll never be without a flanking buddy, and of course dimensional jaunt is handy for maneuvering around the battlefield. |

Now there's some room to pick Craven! :schemes: That way, you'll net +16 BAB, 17th level casting, +3d6+20 SA, and somewhat better saves: Fort +11, Ref +6, Will +15. For more skills, Track, and a tiny boost to reflex saves in lieu of a fighter feat and some hit points, go Ranger 1 and Eldritch Knight 5 (no Spellsword levels). Of course, Jade Phoenix Mage owns it all. This is a ToB-free attempt to make a nice triple-thread build. |
