Recently one of my friends has been 'punished' by his DM with the incorporeal subtype through an unwanted Ritual of Transfiguration.
He really hates it, since he was going for a Barbarian/Frenzied Berserker!!!
Is there any way to take advantage from this situation? He would like to turn back into the corporeal form, but HOW? It would be sufficient regaining his Strenght bonus. Maybe something from Ghostwalk (I don't have the book)?
Otherwise, are there any interesting abilities/feats to use with the Incorporeal subtype? I'd like to help him, but I'm stuck...The only thing which I can think of is a Wish spell, but the DM will never let it happen through it..(with him as a DM, we should have to hire a lawyer to meet the requisite of correct spelling that Wish has).
My friend doesn't give a crap about running through walls, he wants to be back on the glorious days when he could rage and crush people's skulls with his greataxe. His actual ghost touch greataxe doesn't leave him much satisfied, with his low Dex bonus  :D

So, can he lose this damn subtype?

THX!

I believe there is a feat in Libris Mortis that lets you affect objects just as if you were corporeal.

i think you need to check the ghost face killer from CV it might be a natural evolution to an un-natural condition

Bear Warrior (why don't we have Complete Warrior errata yet?)

Actually anything based on Polymorph because you lose your Type and Subtype, thus losing [Incorporeal].

The Psionic Skin of Proteus allows constant Metamorphosis for 200k if he needs a itemic solution.

Thanks to all of you!!!

Bear Warrior (why don't we have Complete Warrior errata yet?)

Unfortunately he doesn't meet the requisites anymore.
no Strenght score > no Power Attack feat > no Bear Warrior :(

Yes, this is the only viable solution I see, though it can be suppressed/dispelled (so it is not a 'definitive' fix).

Exactly how did this come about? The Ritual of Transfiguration (like all minor rituals) takes 24 hours, so it couldn't have happened in combat. Was he tricked, thinking he was getting a different ritual performed on him? If so he needs to do better background checks on the spellcasters he hires to perform services for him. But all of those rituals can be undone through another ritual, which would cost money, but it may be the best solution for him, because it would be a permanent change.

I was not present at the game session but, knowing the DM, he tricked the PC (I was told by my friend that he was abducted and forced to undergo the Ritual, but I don't know the details). The DM belongs to the old timers school, when a DM should have to be considered the the playing characters' 'enemy'. Which is also the reason whereby I don't play with him as a DM anymore. He is a really unpleasant person.
I will ask my friend for more details.

I agree that Libris Mortis (my bible) might be the key. It's there that I find so many solutions, really. What you might do is simply have the party arcanist cast Incorporeal Nova. If the party caster doesn't care to learn it, pay someone. This will most assuredly aleviate that problem with being intangible.

I concur with lostone, couldn't you just undergo another ritual to transform you into something else, maybe back to what you once were?

Thank you very much for your priceless help...that would really solve the problem...

Because Rituals are NPC stuff in our campaign. :(
