I figured at least some of you guys would have dissected the new Regional feats and had some thoughts about this...

Do any of the regional feats help you to qualify sooner for your prestige class?

I don't have the PGtF book, otherwise I could give you some advice.

Regional feats aren't auto picks. I wouldn't pick militia except if i wanted to use a greatsword. and even then it is kinda lamme.

What kind of character do you want to make? Stats, etc... need some more info for effective help :)

Also, why Aasimar?

I want to be an Aasimar because it fits my character concept. I want to be devoutly, obsessively religious. So much so that it's in my blood, not just a way of life. But that's just my concept, it's not set in stone.

The GM is not requiring us to be from any particular region, so I can be pretty much from anywhere.

I am going to immediately work for the Morninglord of Lathander PrC, my other first level feat is Initiate of Lathander.

My stats came out pretty gross, but my GM was using a die rolling method that favors high stats.

Str 16
Dex 13
Con 14
Int 17
Wis 19 (w/ Aasimar adjustment)
Cha 18 (w/ Aasimar adjustment)

I knew what I wanted to play and why before I ever rolled up the stats.

Right now I am kind of thinking about Luck of Heroes, Strong Soul or Militia. I was thinking about Education, but didn't realize that clerics got more Knowledge skills in 3.5.

Hope the extra information helps...

Oh, also, I was going to concentrating on being an Armorsmith and take Craft Magic Arms/Armor at 6th level as a feat.

if u fell an Aasimar just be a lesser planetoched from PGtF, and save the level adjustment!

then if u REALLY need to be an outsider buy it back with the regional feat OVERWORDLY.

This is just my umble opinion

Of course, a lesser aasimar can't usually take a regional feat generally found only among deep imaskari, specific elves, or spirit folk. Justifying the lesser aasimar taking the feat after growing up in the region would certainly be easier than doing the same for say a human, but I imagine there are DMs who would just tell you to take the level adjustment if you want to be an outsider aasimar. (That said, a cleric doesn't really benefit much by being an outsider, so lesser aasimar in general is a good suggestion.)

To answer the original question, from the information you've given out about your character there isn't really a regional feat that screams out "take me". I would just try picking a character region you like for your backstory and then taking your favorite of those offered. Most of the regions have at least one feat that's at least decent. Of the specific feats you mentioned, Luck of the Heroes is probably the strongest in general at low levels, though it wouldn't stack with some magical items available at higher levels. If you're going to be the healer, another possibility would be Fleet of Foot to enable you to get to your critically wounded friends in time to help (assuming of course you're not planning on wearing heavy armor.)

Well...

I decided to be from Sembia and I took the Mercantile Background Feat, because it fit my character concept. Used car salesman turned uber cleric, heh.
