Aasimar Sorcerer- Where to go with it? [Archive] - Wizards Community

Alright, so here’s a rundown of everything I can think of that would help this idea get fleshed out. I know how vague some of these build requests get (saying nothing more than ‘build me a fighter!’ for example), and I’m going to do my best here to avoid that. By avoiding, I don’t mean that I’m going to disguise this as a ‘challenge’ either.

Anyways, I’m about to go into an upcoming FR game. I will be entering at ECL 11 (possibly 12) into a preexisting party as the arcane firepower. Just in case it would have any relevance to this build, the party’s level makeup is as follows:

CG Human: Ranger 8/Fighter 4
CN Moon Elf: Rogue 5/ Sorcerer 4/ Shadowdancer 3
CG Half-Elf: Fighter 4/ Wizard 4/ Harper Scout 4
CN Dwarf: Barbarian 8/ Warrior of Resolve 4
Warrior of Resolve is apparently something that the player pulled off of the internet somewhere, if I remember right. From what I’ve been told, it’s more or less a tanking PrC.
LG Dwarf: Cleric 9/ Hammer of Moradin 3

Requirements:
There are a few things that I would prefer to have in the build, Min-Max worthy or not. The indisputable requirements are that the character has to be an aasimar sorcerer, as you could probably guess from the thread title, and must hail from Halruaa. (Long story behind those, being that I’m basing him on something I wrote before and felt would be an appropriate match.) Whichever way I go with the character (see below), maxed out Spot/Listen ranks and the Quick Reconnoiter feat are something else that I’d want to obtain. Craft Wondrous Item is also something I’d like to put in the build, if possible.

The stats that I rolled were 11, 12, 12, 13, 13, 15.
I’m torn on which way to go beyond that. (This is mainly due to the fact that I’m indecisive. Well, then again, I might not be…) I’ve narrowed down the routes that the build should go down into blasting/stealth, blasting/divining, or a combination of blasting, divining, and stealth. (The decision is more or less either to go stealthy to synergize with the three sneaky characters or avoid it to broaden the party's abilities. Personally, I'm leaning towards the former of the two.) This, of course, is where you guys come in.

At least until I find out which of those three routes to go down, I probably don’t need a build progression, though I wouldn’t complain if someone happened to post one. If I can get a few suggestions on to what road to take this character down, I should be able to post a build/spell list of my own for critique. The build should be powerful, though not game-breakingly so.

Resources
For the purposes of the actual build, I have access to most materials, barring many of the variant rules from Unearthed Arcana (though some are valid; flaws and a few others are right out, but I’m going to discuss LA buyoff with my DM the next chance I get) and a few 3.0 products. I can have cross-setting material as long as I justify it. Oh, and if you can help it, try to pull material from as few books as possible, as I don’t want to be lugging my whole collection to the game.
Thanks to everyone in advance.
