Hi, im trying to do something a little different so i made a druid with the aberration wildshape feat. My only problems are finding the aberrations to wildshape into. Most of them seem to suck. My druid is 7th level, str 12 dex 14 con 14 int 12 wis 17 chr 10. My feats I currently have are : Greenbound summoning, natural spell, Initiate of Malar (evil campaign), Aberration blood, and Aberration wildshape, and assume supernatural ability(the DM is allowing 2 flaws for 2 feats).

I've looked at many abarrations in 4 monster manuals and I have seen nothing useful at my level, do to the fact the creature I wildshape into has to be medium or smaller and no more hit dice than my level and I havent found a creature at 7th level worth wasting Assume Supernatural Ability on. The only thing interesting to me is a beholder because i can get all the eye rays but thats at 11th level and its probably not going to be that powerful at higher levels.

If anyone can give me a few good aberrations I can wildshape into at 7th level and some good ones for later i would appriciate it. I might have missed a few. Also if someone can give me a good supernatural ability to assume I would also be grateful. It doesn't matter what creature or how many hit dice it has (preferably an aberration but not manditory). And last but not least, any feats that would Improve my character later down the line would be good also( it doesnt matter what kind of feats I just need ideas)

Thanks in advance :D

Kythons, from the Book of Vile Darkness.

The Slaymaster has a +18 natural armor bonus, Str 25, Dex 17, Con 18, 4 claw attacks for 1d8+3, a bite for 4d6+7, a tail slap for 1d6+3, Improved Grab plus a nasty Constrict attack, and a 90% chance for a Kython weapon. I personally like the Mouth Launcher--an additional attack at your highest attack bonus for 1d4+Strength, PLUS a free improved grab, PLUS a free bite attack if it gets hold.

Not bad a'tall, for a 15-hd form.

Oh--and you look like a Giger Alien. If you're gonna be an Aberration, be an Aberration with style.

I've always thought the Kythons looked suspiciously like tyranids from Warhammer 40k. IMO, Kythons are waaaay too powerful for their CR.

I don't know if Spectator from Lords of Madness is THE pick, but with assume supernatural ability it nets you hold monster, telepathy and suggestion at will.

I don't know. Somehow it sounded better then...

there is an aberration in the Unapproachable east sourcebook that has two standard actions per round as an (ex) ability - just cast Enhance wildshape before your shifiting and go to town

I dont see any aberration in the UE that has two standard actions. I think your talking about the sharn from the MOF. Unfortunatly the archetypal ability they have keep me from being able to wildshape into it.

I like the Kython, very inteteresting. Please keep the ideas coming. And im still looking for more Assume Supernatural Ability ideas.

One more thing. What do you all think would prove more useful the Beholders Antimagic Cone, or the 6 Eye Rays?

Nilshai, Grug. The Nilshai, from UE, gains an extra partial action. And is very, very ugly. If you want to be an aberration, you have to be ugly.

...which were a shameless rip-o...excuse me, homage to Giger's Aliens. :)

Problem: there's no such thing as a partial action anymore, and no clear precedent for replacing "partial action" with "standard action."
