| MyLuckyDice02-02-07, 05:38 PM | I want to play a spellcaster, namely one that specializes in using big flashy damaging spells and battlefield control type spells. He'd be a war-wizard of sorts. My first decision is base class. As a blaster, sorcerer is very tempting but then again I'm afraid to lose that versatility that a wizard provides. As a specialist I wouldn't be to far behind a sorcerer in spells per day, and intelligence as a primary attribute seems more useful to me. I see him casting Scorching Ray, Sound Lance, Flame Burst, Earth Reaver, or the various Wall of _____. Trying to plan out to about level 15 or so: I think either Evoker 5 Incantatrix 10, or Sorcerer 5 Mage of the Arcane Order 4 Incantatrix 6 would do nicely. I'll probably go with the wizard but I wouldn't mind opinions otherwise. I can draw upon any source that is WOTC published. I'm also wondering about ways to increase saving throw DC's in 3.5. I'm not to sure of any off hand except for increasing casting stat, spell focus, and greater spell focus. Anyone have any advice here as well? |

Reserves Feats: Take the ones that raise evocation caster level Energy Affinity from Unearthed Arcana: Raises caster level for certain energy type Arcane Thesis your favorite boom for +2 caster level... make it a lower level spell for metamagic goodness or higher level for the caster level increase |
