"This minor ritual gives the character a racial subtype or type modifier such as gnoll, goblinoid, orc, or reptilian." It doesn't say my type or subtype changes. Should I assume that an Elan could undergo a Ritual of Association and his creature type would be Aberration, Humanoid (Elan)? He would get both creature types, and could even become a lycanthrope? Or I could do this ritual with a human monk to become an Aberration and get the Rapidstrike feat?
