Greetings all, So, I was looking through the requirements for Versatile Spellcaster, and it occured to me that nowhere in the spell's description does it mention that the spell slots you sacrifice have to be from the class you used to qualify for the feat, or indeed that the spell slot you gain restricts you to casting a spell that you could cast sponteneously... This, combined with the Cleric's knowledge of all spells, lays the roots for some fairly nasty tricks... Take any random Cleric, give him Magical Training (PGtF), selecting the option to cast spells as a Sorcerer. This will now qualify the Cleric for Versatile Spellcaster. Now, for the (fairly) small price of two lower level spell slots, you may emulate ANY spell you want, giving you a massive amount of versatility that you might otherwise be lacking. Let me know what you all think of this logic - unfortunantly, the description for Versatile Spellcaster is so small that posting any of it would probably violate the board posting guidelines, but if you read it, it's very specific about what it requires, and allows, and mimicking Cleric spells falls under this catagory...
