Playing a ranger 2 fighter 3 dervish1 with some levels to scout to come. Right now I'm wearing a chain shirt so my AC kinda sucks Any advice on specific armors? Was thinkg of Armor of the unending hunt to rid myself of fatigue penalties when dervish dance ends. But Iwant a good AC.

Ring of Protection, Amulet of Natural Armor...if you've got a good Wis, then chuck the armor altogether and grab a Monk's Belt. Boost your Dex as well, and remember that with Scout, don't stop moving. :)

Monk's Belt does not give wisdom to AC ability. It will give you a +1 unnamed bonus to AC if you're not wearing armor (the same as a 5th level monk), though.

A mithral breastplate increases your armor bonus by one and counts as a light armor.

Someone must have told you that and you believed them. If they tell you that again, reference the following from the SRD (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=d20/article/srd35), found in the description of the Monk's Belt:
If the character is not a monk, she gains the AC and unarmed damage of a 5th-level monk.
That means you gain the Monk's AC bonus class feature, also quoted from the SRD, found under the Monk class description:
AC Bonus (Ex): When unarmored and unencumbered, the monk adds her Wisdom bonus (if any) to her AC. In addition, a monk gains a +1 bonus to AC at 5th level. This bonus increases by 1 for every five monk levels thereafter (+2 at 10th, +3 at 15th, and +4 at 20th level).
Emphasis added.

Remember, if you get the Monk's Belt you can still wear Bracers of Armor and gain the benefits. If you're going to stick with regular armor, be sure to get an Animated Shield. Fighter levels gives you proficiency with Tower Shields, but you'll still get all the penalties as though you were carrying it. There's also an Ioun Stone which gives you a +1 Insight bonus to AC. Gloves of Dex can also help. If there's a Cleric in the party, have him cast Magic Vestment on your armor/shield every day to increase the enhancement bonus. If you have the Oriental Adventures, there are armor pieces in there called Destana and Chahar-Aina, which grant additional AC bonuses and can be worn with leather armor or a chain shirt. The Chahar-Aina counts as medium armor, but getting one made of Mithril will make it light.

forgoe the monk belt, and just pick a level of monk. remember, a level of monk rounds everything out.
