| Zucch6910-13-04, 05:53 AM | This is a quick one: would using +5 Defending Armor and Shield Spikes to further enhanced a PCs Armor Class be...a little too cheesy? By the Defending discription its a bonus that stacks with all others, so theres nothing in the rules against doing this...but I dunno, what do you all think? |

Armor Spikes can be wielded as a Light off-hand weapon, and have the nifty benefit of being allowed even if you're wielding a two-handed weapon. Basically, you have to take any penalties associated with the attacks to gain the benefits on a defending weapon. With Armor Spikes, that usually means you are treated as if fighting with two weapons. Otherwise, yes, it can be done. |

| Qaetar10-13-04, 07:27 AM | Just consider the spikes a weapon that is separate from the armor. You need to pay for masterwork and +x on both of them separately. The armor at armor rates, the spikes at weapon rates. (Qaetar) |
