drizden 07-12-05, 02:52 PM	I'm looking for a build that has high AC and HPs... a real "hold the line juggernaut" sort of a character... damage and attack bonus not so important. Dwarfen Defender comes to mind, but seems a bit boring... any quick thoughts or ideas? anyone have a character or build like this? :D
Scion of Coldshard 07-12-05, 03:07 PM	I had built something like that a long time ago that was straight barbarian with toughness and a bunch of 'Roll With It' feats from Savage species ;) He got around the ac problem with mitigating effects like cloak of displacement, ring of blinking, and other such effects over the course of time. Hmm.. I guess this isnt terribly helpful, but I had a lot of fun with the guy.. having DR of 10/- or more later on was just plain nice! Especially with having so many hp.
drizden 07-12-05, 03:18 PM	Yea... DR is always nice ;) I guess i should mention that this is a fairly low magic campaign... so good magic items are scarce...
allenchan 07-12-05, 03:21 PM	Then I'd recommend being a cleric or druid if you want to tank. Fighters and any subset of fighters are even MORE crappy in low-magic worlds. Otherwise, I would have suggested some combo of dwarven paragon, fighter, deepwarden, and d. defender
