Adding Perform to a Cleric's class skil list? [Archive] - Wizards Community

12-12-04, 12:58 PM Pretty much a Ronseal question here: I'm looking to add Perform to a Cleric's class skill list and couldn't find a way - anyone able to help me out here?

The character is intended to be a first-level character, and is likely going to be a Halfling.

3.5 rules used, though the sensible ones from 3.0 are being used too. FR stuff also goes, despite the fact it's not an FR game.

12-12-04, 01:50 PM You can try to strike a deal with your DM to swap out Hide for Perform with the Trickery Domain. It wouldn't be too much of a stretch to see how it would fit.

If you change your race to Human, take Human Paragon levels and select Perform as your adaptive learning. Paragon is from Unearthed Arcana if you don't have it. You'd lose 1 level of spells and 3 of turn undead use, but the skill bonuses, bonus feat, and +2 to any ability make up for it.

Back to the domains, sit down with your DM and write your own Performance Domain. Granted Power could be like that of Trickery domain, with Perform as a class skill and spells could be a mix of illusion and transmutation to disguise you and enhance performances.

12-12-04, 04:54 PM You can always just take Cosmopolitan(perform(string cheesecake)). If you don't want to give up the feat, you can be a strongheart halfling, which gives you a bonus feat in exchange for losing the +1 to saves.

Unfortunately, Cosmopolitan doesn't work like this anymore. But you can take the Skill Knowledge feat, in Unearthed Arcana.
