Hi ^_^

I was wondering if i could get some help maximizing this ancestor feat from Dragon#315.

It is a quite unusual feat and i believe it could have some potential, wondering if anyone can help me see it?

It basically affects your readied actions, when you ready one in combat you can take it at any time even if the specified condition doesn't occur.

Any ideas ^_^?

Thank you

I don't have the right magazine, but judging by your description, there was some work done on a similar ability (the psionic power Synchronity) by Scrollreader not too long ago. I can't seem to find the original link, though. Used some mage-cheese (like the choker) and ended up with six standard actions in one round.

Thank you for looking for me ^_^, it just seems that there are many uses to this feat that i can't necessarily discern.

No Dragon magazine.

Hard to optimize what you can't see.

Found the Synchronity discussion, though. (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=355779)

Well, that doesn't really affect my build. My version was nifty, but essentially ate all your PP in something like 4 rounds. It was only really any good with the Metamind, and even then, only in Eberron, where you can use AP to Enter the 'golden minute' of metamind more than 1/day.

I'd say scout, off the top of my head. Move and then ready an action to shoot. If the caster starts to cast, (or whatever trigger condition you want) you can smack them, with your skirmish damage, and try to disrupt the spell. if they /don't/ engage your trigger condition, you can still shoot, if I understand the feat correctly (Don't have that Dragon). Multishot and then Greater Multishot are all good. You have to watch your place in the initiative order, though, as ready changes it. But a nice way to shut down spellcasters, rogues with UMD, manifesters, and anybody else you can catch with their pants down.
