| Outlier07-04-05, 12:01 AM | Well, I've got this dwarven wizard I'm playing in a Shackled City campaign, and I could use some advice on what direction I should go from here. The character is currently level 7, just finished the part where we rescued the mad dwarf from the Kotoans & dragon if you're familiar with that setting. I conceved this guy as an arcane smith, so he's currently a Wiz 5 / Ftr 1 / Runesmith 1. Other than the obvious Gish path, are there any other worthy alternatives I should consider? Also, given that I can't count on buying magic items, what would you suggest I craft for myself? Details: For feats, I took Collegiate Wizard, Craft Wondrous Item, Craft Magic Arms & Armor, Combat Expertise (for the AC boost), Item Familiar, and Scribe Scroll of course. Stats as of level 7 are: Str 13, Dex 14, Int 18, Con 18, Wis 11, Cha 8. My current magical gear includes items for prestidigitation & detect magic at will, a +2 int cowl, a travelers' cloak, a small bag of holding, and 3 pearls of power (level 1). I've managed to get my hands on a suit of dwarven plate and a dwarven war axe. Conditions: 3.5 Core, Faerun, and all the usual 'complete' books and so forth are allowed. Eberron & Dragon magazines are disallowed, and stuff from Unearthed Arcana might be allowed on a case by case basis. Custom magic items are allowed, per guidelines in the DMG, provided I can make them myself. I am told I have a couple of weeks of down-time for crafting and no shortage of cash, so what would you folks suggest? |

Cast as a swift action and makes all your attacks touch attacks (don't forget to power attack) And don't forget polymorph, a great combat spell, but it could also be useful when you need to fly or burrow. |
