I've played evil before but I've never power-played evil or had a profound effect on the world around me with my evil characters. I'd like to create a build that does just that and can do it subtley (within the context of a non-evil party).

Presitige Classes
Cancer Mage comes to mind with its disease spreading abilities

Disease
Contagious Touch - Drd 6
Contagious Fog - Watery Death 7

Behavioral Modifications
Morality Undone - Brd 5/Clr 5
Addiction - Clr 2
Charm/Geas Spells

Other Tactics
- Creating undead and then releasing them
- Poisoning water/food supplies
- Summoning evil outsiders for evil purposes

So far, I like Wiz 3/Clr 3/True Necromancer 14. Any other suggestions?

I love evil. :schemes: You should find quite a bit of material in my sig. Especially check out the True Necromancer (contest version), Blackguard Demonbinder and Shadowlord Assassin. The "Sir Cheapskate" thread has a couple of evil builds I made near the end of it, too.

Oh yeah, and the Boogeyman (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=313633) is probably my favorite evil build.

There's a link in my sig (Craven Cow) to an evil Krynn minotaur build. It requires a UA paladin variant, but it's still cool.

I dig the TN build in your sig. Not exactly subtle but I will definately steal some things from it.

I should mention that I'm limited to the Forgotten Realms as far as region material goes. No Dragon crap either.

Thanks and please keep em coming!

Here is a link to a great Ur-Priest / Bone Knight build.

Not exactly subtle, but very fun.

You could abuse the Soul Eater PrC by polymorphing into something with tons of attacks, say a hydra. Since its energy drain ability is a class feature, you don't lose it while polymorphed. Then go look at all the silly stupid feats in Libris Mortis that boost energy drains. :nonono:

I had a build somewhere that combined Soul Eater and Master Transmogrifist. It was truly nasty. My DM took one look at it and banned me from ever touching the MasTrans again. :)

I've got to put my vote in for a Souleater build as well. Does it really get more evil than sucking out someones soul and consuming it for sustenance? Plus eventually you will have a veritable army of wights at your disposal.

I too will have to cast my vote for the Boogeyman (which btw makes liberal use of Soul Eater). How is it subtle? It's a Changeling! And there's few things scarier than a Changeling Warshaper/SoulEater, IMO.

Forget Wights. A one-level dip in Soul Eater is great for the little shapechanger in all of us, especially with the Life Drain feat from Libris Mortis.

Using the above Master Transmog idea, you could do something like this:

Battle Sorcerer 6/Incantatrix 4/Soul Eater 1/Master Transmogrifist 9

You effectively get Charisma-powered spellcasting to damage plus persistent Draconic Polymorph, cast as a 16th level spell (or 20th with practiced spellcaster). The only thing I don't like about Master Transmog is the lost caster levels, which effectively makes it impossible to get both infinate variety and shapechange pre-epic.

In a campaign I'm planning however, the BBEG will be a paragon vampire lord using a number of Soul Eater levels as well as Duelist levels and use his slam attack in combination with weapon strikes, and even at epic levels it will be difficult for the party to gain Death Ward buffs. The end result will be worthy of an epic party.

I like the Hypnotism spell. It permanantly changes the targets additude one step toward what ever you suggest. This should allow you to step up a minions loyalty from indiffernt to fanatic in just a few short sessions.

I also like the Geas idea, in conjunction with Shadow Conjuration emulated Lesser Planar Binding and Bestow Curse.
Research a Outsider with Charism or Wisdom based spellcasting, and of an appropriate level.
Use the Shadow Conjuration to emulate Lesser Planar Binding. Call the caster by name. This will net you a physically weaker duplicate of the caster.
Bring him into a trapped area, so he will be easily subdude.
Cast Bestow Curse to lower his intelligence.
He doesnt need it to serve as a spell battery for you.
Cast Lesser Geas to enslave him.The low Inteligence insures that he will never think his way out of the Geas.
Since there is always that natural 20, I recommend some Diplomacy as well. See the Hypnotism suggestion above.
Lesser Gease has a better mechanic, than Geas, in that it Compels compliance, without offering the option of simply taking damage.
Repeat the process, and use your Caster slaves to create income, cast buffs on your self, etc.
If you choose a caster with the near worthless Cooprative Spell feat, you could use them in mass to cast unresistable spells.
Even at higher levels, a Ring Gate could be used to allow them to cast from relative safty.

Simular use of Planar Binding can be made with the rebuking features of the Spider, Scallykind,Plant, and various Elemental Domains.

Finally, the Libris Mortis offers the Mother Cyste feat an the spells that go with it. It burns a feat, but it gets you the Necrotioc Tumor spell, that allows absolute domination, permanantly. Aginst lower level creatures, its a cinch.

With most of these enslaving processes, I recomend using Wonderous Items, or Rune Circles, to make your work unhampered by spell slots.
