| ToxicWiz11-10-06, 11:08 AM | I am planning to make a very manipulative character. we have a standard point build (25) and we are starting level 3. I was thinking of going Telepath X/ Thrallherd 10 eventually. my books are listed in my sig, and those are the ones i can use. probably of evil alignment too. My plan is to manipulate anyone, and everyone. i would like to build it so i wouldn't have to fight at all if possible. I thought being able to change shape would help alot. I explained this concept to my DM and he would allow me to start as a Doppelganger, but with no class levels to begin with. So, what classes should I be taking to do well? are there any suggestions on race? pretty much any suggestions are welcome. Thanks for taking the time to read my post! suggestions? |

As a caster, you want to stay away from non-LA creatures. A doppelganger will set you back with 4 HD and +4 LA. I would recommend changeling with a level of mindbender, but you don't have those sourcebooks. I haven't done psionics, so I can't comment on that. |

Of course, Meta is probly more useful inside combat. Tele/Thrallherd is a damn fine manipulator. Make sure to grab a couple of those DC boosting feats (can't recall the name). Also, make sure you can kill stuff you can't charm/dominate somehow (Astral constructs, your thralls, energy/crystal powers, etc). |
