I'm starting a game soon with following rules for char creation:

Every Stats shall start at 0.
You shall have 84 points to divide among the 6 Attribute Stats. This include the 4 & 8 level bonus.
No Base Score can be higher then 18 or lower then 8.

max 2 classes and 2 prestige classes.
bonus feat at level 1, good or neutral build.
ECL 8 (not including the half fiend template which i get for free)

and this rule on critical hits:

When roll a potential critical hit no need to reroll to confirm. All damage (including sneak, elemental etc) is multiplyed in the critical roll.

Seeing the rule on critical hits made me think of making a dual weilding rapier rogue of some kind, I'm not sure of the builds yet, wondered what you guys think.

thanks for reading this.

I don't think you can easily wield a rapier with both hands. What you want is a rapier/kukri combination. That's simple enough.

And I'm sorry, but the ridiculous house rules you're playing with are actually TOO overpowered. I never thought I'd actually say those words... but there you go.

Sneak attack damage is MULTIPLIED? That's insane. You'd be crazy if you didn't play a straight out rogue.

For good measure, play a rogue dual-wielding Kukris, with the "maiming" ability on each of them. Look it up in Book of VIle Darkness. Considering your house rules, it'd be a god-making combination.

As far as I know "maiming" is from Minatures handbook, it changes critical from x2 to x1d4, from x3 to x1d6 and x4 to x1d8. (or something like this, i don't have the book at hand, maybe it's also in BoVD).

yeppers, that's the one.

Frankly, since his game multiplies SA damage with a crit hit, and they don't need to confirm crit hits, he's got a pretty good chance of dealing amazing damage with not a lot of effort.

Say he has a 7d6 sneak attack. Maiming gives him a 50% chance to increase his sneak, a 25% of breaking even, and only a 25% chance of reducing his SA damage.

I don't know about you, but a 15-20 range 28D6 sneak attack is pretty good.

Just checked book list for game while its fairly extensive doesn't include minatures handbook :|

I'm not sure theres a need to leave rogue class for this, so was thinking
(with half fiend template added)

Str 25, Dex 22, Con 20, Int 16, Wis 10, Cha 10

Straight Rogue from 1-8 with feats being

1) Two-Weapon Fighting
1) Weapon Focus (Rapier)
3) Flyby Attack
6) Oversized Two-Weapon Fighting

and feat at 9th level being improved two-weapon fighting.

Would fight using two keen rapiers (not sure on +), a cloak of displacement (minor) to allow hiding wherever and probably mithril breastplate.

I would get wounding (DMG), greater wounding (?), and marrowcrushing (BoVD). Tons of Con damage, all multiplied. On a crit, you could kill anything outright.

I'm wondering if i should stick with rogue from now on in the build or take 2 fighter levels for the feats, specifically improved critical letting me drop keen from my weapons and instead have +1 Deady precision rapiers, or +1 wounding rapiers.
