| Eldritch_Avatar07-25-06, 09:22 AM | I am about to start in a campaign at lvl 1. I am leaning toward favored soul at the moment, but I am somewhat of a powergamer and I am not sure if the favored soul has the oomph to keep me happy. My idea was making him into a (human?) rugged front line fighter who uses his spells to mainly for buffs/heals. My stats will be STR 16 DEX 14 CON 16 WIS 10 INT 10 CHA 16 I am sort of unclear on the best feats to take, but I was leaning towards spontaneous healing at lvl 1. Any advice on future feats that will enhance my fighting/buffing prowess would be great. I have access to all the books. Also I was flipping through the cleric spell lists in my supplements and nothing really jumped out at me as must have spells for the first couple of lvls. All of you experienced favored souls out there, plse give me some tips on the better spells (lvl 1-3) that I need to get. Thx in advance to anyone who takes the time to help me out. |

You might find the discussion in my thread usefull: http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=674070 When it comes to spells, I can suggest you create you list from this awesome site using the dynamic sheets: http://www.emass-web.com/ Personally I've chosen these spells so far: 0: well, you more or less get every usefull one of them quite fast, not a lot of options. 1: Bless, Comprehend Languages (has already proved usefull several times), Cure Light Wounds and Nimbus of Light (probably not the best option, but I like it for the novelty  ). Yes, still need a 5th as I'm dropping Protection from Evil at 6th level, might go for Divine Favor. 2: Cure Moderate Wounds, Divine Protection, Lesser Restoration and Sound Burst (save only versus stun). 3: Create Food and Water, Cure Serious Wounds and Prayer. |
