Hi, I am trying to build a straight fighter mainly for 1 to 1 duel. He has to be able to handle any opponent. I know chances are slim but I want to be as good as he can get.

SRD only

race: human

36 point buy.
STR 16
DEX 16
CON 14
INT 10
WIS 14
CHR 10

Below are the feats I intend to take. I am starting at level 3. But I am not sure which to take first. Below are the feats I wish to take (not in sequence).

SRD only.
Please advice.

power attack
PBS
Far
Rapid
Dodge
Mobility
Spring attack
sidestep charge
Blind Fighting
Iron Will
Quick Draw
Stand still
Combat Reflexes
Combat Expertise
Improved Trip
Improved Unarmed Strike
Improved Grab
Stunning Fist
1 feat (not decided)

Tentatively, I would like to take Quick Draw, PBS, Rapid shot and far shot and combat expertise.

I assume at low level, range should be able to tackle most foes. When close, I will move and do siingle shot.

Should be using Javelin and Alchemy Fire as main offense. Maybe Tanglefoot bag for caster/charger and thunderstone vs caster.

What do you think?

For starters if you want combat expertise and it's feat tree you need to bump your int up to at least 13.

Second what type of fighter do you want to be. Do you want to be an archerer, a tripper, or something else?

Use a spiked gauntlet and you won't need Improved Unarmed Attack. If you really want that, take a level in Monk.

Hmm. None of the Specialization Tree, I see.

no tactical feats.

Thrown weapons tends to be fairly bad on dmg dealing. You also need Quick Draw to throw more then one weapon a round.

If you want range, be an archer, and keep a backup melee weapon. Thrown weapons are basically secondary 'closing' weapons for most melee builds.

And if you're EVER using Thrown Weapons, you want Brutal Throw.
