| hobbit_killer01-10-07, 12:54 PM | I am currently running a gestalt beguiler/warlock at 3rd level My plan is to go beguiler19/illusion adapted unseen seer1//warlock6/illusion adapted unseen seer 2-5/fiendblooded10 The unseen seer (adpated to illusion spells per the adapatain in Complete Mage) level on the beguiler side is to stagger the advanced learning. My stats are str 10 dex 14 con 14 int 16 wis 8 cha 12 Race is human. Current feats are blood calls to blood, spell focus illusion, spell focus enchantment, and eschew materials (the campaign allows a bonus feat at 1st) Planned feats are obtain familiar, improved familiar, greater spell focus illusion, greater spell focus enchantment and one yet to be decided. The idea here is to maximize the advanced learning and stagger it in such a way to be most optimal. Currently I have taken power word pain. I plan to take shadow conjuration and nightmare terrain at 8th, shadow evocation at 10, programmed image and greater heroism at 12, greater shadow conjuration at 14, greater shadow evocation and greater invisibility at 16, shades at 18, and shadow landscape and ice assassin at 20. Invocations currently are devil's sight ( know see the unseen is better but this would have ruined the first adventure of Shackled City which we are playing in) and beguiling influence. I plan to take entropic warding, fell flight, voidsense, ignore the pyre, chilling tentacles, caustic mire, vitriolic blast, impenetrable barrier, and dark discorporation (because I think its cool) in that order. I need some advice on my final feat and familiar choice as well as critique on the build in general. Please note that I can have a maximum of 4 classes and that ShadowCraft Mage is out due to race and Hellfire Warlock is out due to Tome of Magic and Magic of Incarnum books not being allowed. |

I'd really see if you can get your GM to let you do that, because powerwise, its almost certainly your best bet. I had something like Beguiler 19/cleric 1//Illusionist 5/Shadow Adept 1/Shadowcraft Mage 5/Shadowcrafter 8 as a build in a game once, and it went very well. Cleric is there to get +2 to illusion spell CL (Gnome, Illusion domains) and to stagger Advanced Learning. Edit: ... well, feel free to ignore my suggestion as it didn't include any warlock >_> Still, the Shadowcraft Mage as an organization instead of racial is still good advice >_> |
