I am looking to build a non-violent cleric (undead and evil creatures are exceptions). He will focus on buffs, heals, and wiping the floor with undead/evil. I was wondering if anyone had some advice on buffin up any/all of those four categories (3 core and 4 completes [divine/arcane/warrior/adv.]). So far Ive found my best turning boosts to come from going Radiant servent of Pelor. Taking a few turning feats and trying to get a phalactry of turning asap. Im normally a fighter/rogue/bard kinda guy =P so Im not all that keen on divine. Lookin for builds/tactics thanks

Tons and tons of good cleric builds. By your description you could play any cleric, and just only kill evil things.

Cheesiest basher-of-things is a cleric with a whole lot of Divine Metamagic abuse. Take Persistent Divine Power, start smashing things. Enough spells to be a mighty fine healer with that as well.

A cleric with a little more class is the Cleric Archer, a little touchier to build but IMO better overall.

Hmm... for something a little more out-of-the-ordinary...

I feel like throwing together a Church Inquisitor build. Not sure why, but what can I say, when you've got an urge...

Cleric 4/Ranger 2/Church Inquisitor 10/Hospitaler 4

Kind of odd, I suppose. CL 17, giving level 9 spells, and BAB +16, allowing for 4 attacks without requiring Divine Power.

The idea was to go crazy with the Church Inquisitor concept as a hunter - someone who hunts down evil, following it where ever it goes, whether that means uncovering hidden evils in the church itself or tracking them and slaying them across the globe.

Bonus abilities include favored enemy, Track, wild empathy, Rapid Shot, Detect Evil at will (a must if you want to destroy all evil, but make sure to ONLY destroy evil), immunity to charms and compulsion, a bonus will save versus illusions, +4 to spot a disguise, immunity to possession, Discern Lies as a spell-like ability, the ability to force the truth out of someone, Lay on Hands, the Inquisition domain, remove disease 1/week, a bonus fighter feat, and the ability to force a creature to assume its natural form. All in all a fairly decent hunter of the dead and evil, while still a decent healer on the side.

Good for a lot of the same reasons the Cleric Archer is good - not as good, nor as cheesy, but nice and flavorful and still optimized well enough to stand up to almost any campaign, and be one of the top players.

By the way, I'm assuming what you said is implying only Core books and Complete books are allowed, right? Because if things like BoED are allowed, the number of possible builds just quadrupled. Apostle of Peace, as was mentioned, or you can run just run a restraint build with Vow of Nonviolence.

Or, if you like fighter builds, you can play a Fist of Raziel, keep most of your spellcasting, and just use Detect Evil a lot - then smite anything that registers to death.
