| Lupo Ladron01-09-05, 02:41 PM | I posted this in the character development board as well, but I would like some ideas as to how to optimize my character as well. So here goes... The campaign that I am playing in is set in the Forgotten Realms (3.5). We have been playing for over a year. We started out at 2nd level. My character's (Lupo Ladron's) backstory is this: he started his life as part of a thieves' guild in Shamph. He got himself into some trouble, and was ex-communicated from the town. He was found starving in the woods by some druids and they took him him. Feeling grateful, he took to the druids the same as the guild. He gained a level in druid, and set out to adventure and glorify the druid circle in which he was now a member. He settled in Lyrabar and has taken up with a group of adventures, where one of the tasks is to protect the Gray Forest. Apparently a hobgoblin/ lich, a hobgoblich, is assembling an undead and hobgobiliin army. The drow have taken over an old elven city in the gray forest, and the hobgoblich is using his vampire captain to create drow vampire-spawn and other undead beasties. This is apparently all being done in the name of Velsharoon. We have not faced the drow as of yet. We are all 8th-9th level and it ought to be fun. We are currently off on a very long side trek where we had to take a portal to the elemental plane of air where the Velsharoonites have a base. The portal out took us to Waterdeep, which is where we are currently. Anyway, My character has 1 level of rogue and 8 levels of druid. I have taken Survivor, Spellcasting Prodigy, Scribe Scroll, Natural Spell, and Initiate of Nature as feats. My character worships Meilikki. He is getting away from finding items to give back to the druids and move towards more about worshipping Meilikki, hence why I took the Initiate of Nature feat. I may want to maybe get away from Druid, but still want the spellcasting progression. I was thinking Divine Disciple but the cross-class ranks in knowledge religion are hard to achieve. What other prestige classes can anyone offer to make my character closer to his deity? Thanks. |

Your wildshape is one of your best assets and gets very strong now that you can wildshape into a Large creature (i.e. bears!). Maybe even one more level of Rogue would be nice for evasion, but not necessary. Fluff-wise, I think devotion to a deity is better to role-play than to devote classes to. Your rogue can be a holy avenger without ever taking paladin levels, it just matter that you play it well. Meilikki is enough of a nature-lover that a solid druid follower could be someone to be proud of. |
