Christman 08-31-05, 09:03 PM	I'm running a new campagin, which keeps most of the races seperate via tribal mentality islands. The drow in my game ran into another one, and I decided she was a bard... Now I have no idea where to go with her. Any ideas for a level 6 Drow Bard? If possible, I'd like her to focus on Whips and her Bardic Music, and be able to go into Sublime Chord when the PrC opens. Books used are Core series, Complete series, 3.5 Psionics, and Libris Mortis.

And you can't take a lot of high-BAB classes to make up for it b/c you'll hurt your Bardic music and/or trigger xp penalties. (One possible exception: Take Wild Talent and a level of Pyrokineticist; it's another hit to BAB but at least you'll be making touch attacks with your flame lash). Some options: Drow2/Bard8/SublimeChord10 -- very basic, strong spellcasting/music. Drow2/Bard7/DrowJudicator1/Sublimechord2/Spellsword5/EK3 better fighter, not as good spells

So if you take Bard8, you'll need two more levels in something. Female drow, Bard7/Cleric3/SC2/MysticTheurge6, you could dress her up as a dominatrix and have her whip people in the name of Loth. Use the feat Divine Power (CW) to make that whip really sting.

Good point on the SC requirements; I'd actually planned on sticking something else in after Bard8, but forgot. I like the Mystic Theurge thing, and I didn’t notice that Lloth’s favored weapon was whip. (It is in Greyhawk, anyway). That gives you some other options. Drow Bard10/DivineCrusader2/SublimeChord2/MysticTheurge4 BAB: +12 Saves: 7/8/17 12 levels of bardic knowledge, 11 levels of bardic music 4th level bard spells; 7th level SC Spells; 6th level Crusader spells (Domination, Evil and Trickery are all good choices for domains) Required feats: WF (whip) You’d need a skillful enhancement (cadv.) on that whip, I think, to bring your BAB up. This one trades 4th level bard spells for a 7th level divine spell and Inspire Greatness for Inspire Toughness. It also gets an extra BAB point, Resistance to Electricity5 and a better fort save. Drow Bard7/Warchanter2/DivineCrusader3/SublimeChord2/MysticTheurge4 BAB: +13 Saves: 9/7/15 9 levels of bardic knowledge, 10 levels of bardic music 3rd level Bard spells, 7th level SC Spells; 7th level Crusader spells Required feats: WF, Expertise.
