rmiller_nub 04-07-04, 04:11 PM	I have a NG 4th human wizard: S:14 D:14 C:14 I:19 WS:12 Cha:10 1: Skill Focus: Knw Arcana, Spell Focus: Evocation 3: Extend Spell. Originally the character was working toward a loremaster and the PHB, T&B were in use. Now there has been a little change the campaing. The party is going through a converted Temple of Elemental Evil and two events have occurred. 1)DM added Book of exalted Deeds to list of ok feats/Prc. 2)Found relics of a Fire mage, A)Amulet does CL9 Fire shield, Robe that give Fire 5/-, +1 saves, +1AC, Staff that gives the Fire Domain (Special power and bonus spells). This character is the main arcane caster of the group. The other arcane caster is a bard. I was hoping to get some advice on what to do with the reamining build up to level 12 (about when we will finish the temple). That would be levels 5-12. I still thinking of taking some Loremaster, but with the Fire Mage Items I started to think of elemental savant and the Celestial mage looks intersting from BoED (though I would need to pick up the 3 feat prereqs). Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

rmiller_nub 04-08-04, 02:00 AM	Isn't the archmage and Incantrix part of the Forgotten Realms setting? I can only use PHB, T&B, and BOED (3.0 edition).

The archmage became core in 3.5, but yes, in 3.0 both that and the incantatrix were Realms classes. You could probably argue that since it became core, that was the design intent. Dunno if your DM will buy it, but it's worth a shot. Besides, there have been archmages/high wizards/whatever in most magical mythos. It's not like you're asking to be a red wizard or a shadow adept, after all. ~Harsk
