I started wondering what class's benefits the most for a high ability score buyout. < 43.> <I would have prefered lower, but they took the points from the person who rolled the highest.> What race, classes, and builds would be best optomized for combat in a dungeon crawl in tunnels, and frequent skill checks with a point buy this high? And still be viable for a crusade against evil type campaign. I don't care for Palidan's roleplaying wise.. |

Myself I'd go with a Monk since they are the most MAD class and I often don't have the stats needed to make it work efficiently. So Monk => Kensai works very well for combat, try to get things that improve monk unarmed damage such as monk's belt, monk's tattoos, and many many more. |

PsyRogue is also quite good. And if you're doing something focused, ala Return to the temple of elemental evil, or City of the Spider Queen, Foe Hunter's not bad. Especially the Stalker of Evil, but even a normal foe hunter. Another interesting option Might be something like: Ninja 5/Invisible Blade 5. Since you have high stats you'll have enough Int AND wisdom to pump up your unarmored AC, and for feinting in combat, Sudden Strike works just as well as SA. Finish with Either Master Thrower or Nightsong Enforcer for a nice BAB and plenty of SA, and good skills all the way up. |
