You seem to have missed #2 in the Posting Guidelines. We need more information about what kind of character you want to play. As it stands, your request is too vague. All you've told us is that you don't want to play a gnome ranger, and you haven't even explained WHY you don't want to play one. You want something more subtle? What does that mean? What are some concepts that you would like to play? What is the make-up of your party? How many players and what are their builds?

I'll be happy to give you some suggestions if you put in a bit more effort. I've played through that particular adventure on two occasions so I have some experience with it. Will you be playing through the entire series of adventures?

I'll be the first to say that zeroeffect has always been helpful, friendly, open and most importantly highly competent every time I've seen the name attached to a post.

I've been wrong a time or two in the past, swallowed my pride when called on it, and come away all the better off. :banghead: :surrender

Against the giants is a great game. I know why you specified no gnome rangers (gnome giant slayer basically requires 6 levels of gnome ranger), and I respect the funning.

Over on the real adventures board, someone just posted a new adventure using the same module...if you aren't planning on applying to that particular game, you could always use it as a reference.

If you ARE planning on joining in over there, it's pretty much anything goes (except Pun-pun. Go figure), so why not just pull something out of the CharOp archives? The DM doesn't really care, he's just trying to get somethig fun going :)

That said, I'm going for Mindbender. While will isn't a giant's weakest save (that'd be reflex), it's not their best either.

ANd I can't wait to enslave...urm, I mean, rehabilitate, yeah!...a couple of giants :D :w00t:

Reflex REALLY IS a giant's weakest link. You could always go warmage...lotsa big boom reflex saves there... :plotting:

Minotaur and I butted heads slightly, but we're on good terms now. I should have clarified what was missing in his original post instead of simply directing him to the posting guidelines. My apologies.
