| NecroticBanana12-15-06, 07:48 PM | I was skimming through the age of worms campain a while ago, so i know the basics, one of my friends mentioned that he may run a few of us through it, and i was wondering what character would have the best chance of survival and the most usefulness? I was thinking paladin, with a but load of positive energy type spells, maybe pick up some kind of anti-undead prestige class. any suggestions?? |
| GaffeR12-15-06, 08:26 PM | Anti-Undead? Cleric 6/Radiant Servant of Pelor 10/Contemplative 4 perhaps? Sun/Healing domains with the PHB2 Domain Spontenaity (Healing) option. Use your normal turning for Divine Meta (Persist for melee, Quicken for casting, Reach for reached healing, Chain for.. well, I think it might allow for chain buffs). Use your greater turning for zombie-blasting. |

| aelryinth12-15-06, 10:25 PM | Dungeon Adventure Path series. A series of modules to get you from level 1 to level 20. Key note: You are stopping Kyuss from becoming a full fledged god. ===Aelryinth |

The problem is they try to burrow into your flesh and turn you into an undead spawn of Kyuss. You'll find them dropping from the ceiling, being flung at you by undead spawns of Kyuss, etc. And not just every once in a while, I mean all the freaking time. Anything with a Natural Armor class +1 or higher is immune to the burrowing, as are Warforged. If your DM allows them, I think a Warforged Artificer would do really well. Another good option would be a Cleric, as the Kyuss worms can be removed with most healing type spells and heal checks. A cleric who focuses on Turn/Rebuke Undead would see a lot of play. |

He would blow most things away before we had to deal with them. While him and the caster lived the whole way through, I went through 4 characters, mostly because taking on large abberation with you monk when they get rend is not a great idea...poor poor Ohleg...but back to what will get you through. Somethign that can kill undead by the truck load will be amazingly effective, and it will get you to understand turning check slike never before :D |

Another interesting option is a Foe hunter/Stalker of Kharash ranger. Check the Stalker of Evil in the handy links thread. I'd probably run with (Favored) power attack. |
