I know this may not be the appropriate place to ask, but when milking for cheese this is the best place to come.
That being said, I was wondering about if a character has passed into a higher age catagory and died, what is done with the ability modifications if they are reincarnated?
From the spell reincarnate...
The magic of the spell creates an entirely new young adult body for the soul to inhabit from the natural elements at hand.
RAPID AGING [DRAWBACK]
You age at an increased rate due to the strain your mutations place on your cells. You appear many years older than your actual age.
MP Value: 2.
Drawback: Double your actual age to get your effective age. Your effective age determines your ability score penalties. You do not gain any of the benefits of aging (increased mental ability scores).

In d20 Modern, aging of the body and mind are not automatically linked. Assuming likewise with 3.5 D&D, when the young adult body is created, the penalties from aging should be negated, though not the mental benefits.
Is this correct?
And if it is correct, would the effective age be that of the body or the actual age of the character?
If it is that of the body, when the body reaches middle age, old age, etc would the penalties and bonuses be re-applied?
Would the character die of old age based off the origanal body or the new one?
Would a human raised as an elf use the (about) 20 year time periods or the (about) 90 year periods?

It's a well known abuse of the reincarnate spell, each time you reincarnate after aging yourself to venerable, you effectively get and keep +3 to all mental stats. Keep doing it, and your mental stats will increase to some arbitratrily high number. And I wonder why druids in the game aren't any smarter...

Probably because any Druid that has lived X number of lives enough to have +Y ability points is wise enough to stop adventuring and just sit back and get fat.

I was referring to npc druids from organisations such as the emerald enclave etc. :P And it was more of a joke than a serious muse. :P

... that you only get the mental ability bonuses the first time around, since they represent the experience of aging. The second time around, that is old news.

Well, it's more the acculated knowlege, insight, and personality that occurs over the years of maturation.
Runestar, I understood the ";)" was ment as kind of a "just messing" thing. The story for the character I'm writing makes use of such NPC groves.
