Air Genasi Rogue/Figher/Wizard? [Archive] - Wizards Community

07-11-04, 01:36 PM Hi everybody! This is my first post here!

I'm creating my air genasi character for a new 3.0 campaign and I'd like to try and use three core classes, and no prestige classes.

Air genasi seems like its stats lend itself to being a finesse fighter possibly with some magic(+2 dex and +2 int). So I'd like to try that.

I was originally just going to do a fighter/rogue with this as the levels:

1-R
2-F
3-F
4-R
5-F
6-F
7-R

But I'd like to play something truly unique and I think adding wizard to the mix can be fun and challenging.

I'm unsure what weapon I'd like to wield, I was thinking of maybe dual wielding elven lightblades...do you think that could work? As far as wizard spells go I was pretty much thinking of just using buffs and maybe some summons(maybe choose transmutation as my speciality?) No offensive spells or anything because I don't want to increase my intelligence instead of my dex.

If anyone would like to help me i'd really appreciate it.

07-11-04, 01:47 PM Check the gish guide and Snow`s triple threat thread.

I`d recomend not taking many fighter levels but something like Wiz 5/ Rogue 4. Making characters like this is hard without PrCs like Eldritch Knight and Arcane tricksters, so, if you change your mind let us know.

07-12-04, 12:45 AM What are some good prestige classes that would work well with a high dex, high int, dual wielding rogue/fighter?

So far I've found Duelist, Weapon Master, and Assassin. Duelist doesn't work so well with dual wielding, Weapon Master takes forever to qualify for, and to finish off the 10 class levels I won't be able to get rogue levels in every so often to keep my skills up. Assassin is evil so that doesnt fly...

Anything similar?

07-12-04, 12:49 AM If you just want a finesse fighter..and if you plan on going wizard, than 3 levels of swashbuckler should do the trick (plus you get int to damage)

07-12-04, 12:55 AM Have you checked out any of the invisible blade/master thrower combinations they're very good for high dex/int chars...although I prefer the 10 lvl invisible blade...even then swashbuckler is still good for that int to damage at level 3..

07-12-04, 12:44 PM I think the exact answer to your problem is the rokugan Ninja, but it`s noncore. You should go Invisible Blade 5/ Master Thrower 5, you should take a look at Thayan Slaver too, it`s from UE.
