| Eagle Prince01-07-04, 03:32 AM | Overall I think Monstrous Humanoid has the best Alter Self selections, if there's any easy way to get monstrous humanoid type. |

Fensir (though all it really gets you is Rock Throwing) Half-Trolls (the only way I would allow this is using Alter Self to apply the template to yourself temporarily [+4 NA, 2 claws, bite, and rend; potentially a swim speed through half-scarag], but it technically opens up a bunch of alternate forms) |
| Snow Savant01-07-04, 12:26 PM | Balthanon has a good point. The way I interpret the Alter Self wording is that you *can* use templates that give you the final form of what your character type is. Which of course, means if you are Tiefling or Aasimar, not only do you get the amazing selection of *legal* outsider forms to chose from, but now you can "alter self" into a ton of other creatures using the myriad amount of templates that convert you into an outsider. And we're talking a permutation set of hundreds of legal creature forms. Really makes being humanoid rather ... blah. :bored: |

I thought I recalled seeing that earlier actually, but when I was looking through the spell in the book to double check my response earlier I couldn't pick it out. I did find it just now though on looking a second time. |
