Alter Spell optimization [Archive] - Wizards Community

05-26-04, 06:06 AM I'm a level 13 Sorcerer. Can anyone recommend a new form that can perform verbal/somatic spells and give me additional natural armor.

And maybe that can fly also (verbal/somatic included)?

05-26-04, 08:02 AM Almost any form that you could take via Alter Self are humanoid so no problem to cast spelll...

here a list of possible form : Bugbear , Derro , Dwarf , Elf , Drow , Gnoll , Gnome , Goblin , Hafling , Hobgobelin , Kobold , Lizardfolk , Locathah , Werebear , Wereboar , Wererat , Weretiger , Werewolf , Merfolk , Ogre , Orc , Sahuagin , Triton , Troglodyte

I guess your best bet must be the Ogre ( dont really want to look at all theses monster for the one with the bigger natural armor... sorry )

So for Combat you take Ogre
For Underwater adventure you take Sahuagin

In case you will be a outsider your best bet I guess will be a Ravid ( but you will need a fly spell )
