I had a build for my Cleric on the site a couple weeks ago and I was really getting into the idea of a capable healer/beat stick. Unfortunately my DM decided to have some stuff happen to me and now I'm starting to become evil.

My idea is to make a Cleric that is all about Commanding the Undead. Making them his troops, using the CorpseCrafter Feats to make them really nice. Unfortunately I really dont know where to start.

Deity-Hextor or Wee-Jes

Books to Work With-
PHB
PHBII
Complete Mage
Complete Divine
Spell COmpendium
Heroes Of Horror
Liber Mortis
Book Of Vile Darkness-Dont have it but hav access.

At this point, my character is at lvl.5 and I'm currently beginning to Lvl and after that i will begin re-training all his feats from healing to...Making dead stuff and killing stuff.

Need help. I'm guessing that I should keep it Cleric?

First of all, please shorten you signature, it is anoyingly long for no reason. ;)

Second, there is a Necromancer handbook floating around, it is the most indepth and well written material for any character who wish to master the arts of undead control. The link can be found in the "handy links for CO work" in my siganture.

Do a search for the Triad of Shadows in the same thread, in that one theres a beautyful build combining Warlock/Cleric and True Necromancer for great effect.

Cheers.

After taking as many of the Corpse Crafter feats that you want, put a Contingent Create Undead on yourself to turn yourself into a Bone Creature (Book of Vile Darkness) upon death. Then go into a nice Desecrated Tomb with a permanent altar to your evil deity, and kill yourself. :D

How about something that will still keep me alive.

So far I've got the whole crazy dude going crazier and getting all into necromancy.

Xeraph- Yeah, Ill change the Sig. I didn't realize that I made it longer. Also, I found the Necromancer Handbook

Yeah I did. I apologize for not giving credit. I'm currently looking at the handbook, but I was not able to find the Triad Of Shadows on that thread.

Also, it may sound stupid on my part but which book was the Dread Necromancer from?

What would be the upsides to becoming a bone creature btw. I dont have the BoVD near me right now and it seams that we might die fighting off zombies in a tomb of Hextor(my god).

We just got back from another session, it seams that my group decided to interrupt my ceremony to become a bone creature. I guess being Undead/Vamp Hunters we dont want undead with us. :S

For a Cleric, what would be the best Lycanthrope template to throw on. Just wondering?

Lycanthrope? I guess I would take one with the smallest Level Adjustment. That way it doesn't hurt your spellcasting advancement. If this isnt a problem take the werebear. They have the bestest ability modifiers.

Also check this, were-insect is now a choice aswell.

Wow. Very nice. I'm liking the Scorpion lychanthrope. Now its time to find one in Ravenloft...

What is the Were-Bear's Lvl. Adjustment?
