Slayer_5 11-12-04, 08:05 AM	I have been playing for a year, and my DM has been playing for 3, and we have NEVER played a game with a cleric, or any sort of healer. Im not BSing you. We've fought dragons, medusas, mindflayers, you name it. However, I dont want to play a cleric. I want to be a Shugenja or Favoured soul. Favoured Soul has been houseruled to be charisma for DC and spells per day. I REALLY like Shugenja for the Rp aspect of it, and cuz we have two anime fans in the group, but I don't know how it is power-wise. i dont want to suck ass. and Favoured soul.. Well, i like the concept, although I already played a character with similar fluff. (It was a of Wee Jas, and isntead of a favoured soul, it was a Deathtouched Sorc.). And no, i cant use the spontaneous cleric from UA, cuz I have a second problem. i dropped 50$ on CD, and havent used a single thing from it. So I want to use a class from there, and spirit shaman looks pretty bunk. Looking forward to your replies. P.S. No builds, and no prestige/multi class ideas. i dont do either of those.

Tealgorthian 11-12-04, 02:48 PM	The Favored Soul is my favorite class by a long shot. I play it like a self-buffing warrior. Generally War God(ddess)s are what I shoot for. The free prof is ust gravy. Ours isnt houseruled like yours (Saves and DCs being Cha based) so I just dont bother with damaging spells for the most part. I get healing spells, self buffing spells. A few metamagic feats, like Max. and goto town. The only real down side is the lack of Undead Turning, which can hurt when 15 skeletons come at you.
