Could you substitute in discipline form forgotton realms as it gives +2 to will save and to concentration. Has there been any officially rulings on alternatives to the requirements if the minimum is meet. I thought this would be good here as optimizing it would be beter to have disipline vs iron will if this was allowed. Thanks, Greg |

Including the comparatively-weak Iron Will requirement for the generally-strong Incantatrix class is completely intentional. It isn't that the +2 Will bonus is especially important, it's a way to use precious feats as a balancing tool. As usual, DM's prerogative, but similar feats/class features/magic items are not equivalent for fulfilling RAW requirements (see my discussions of the Half-Illithid -> Illithid Savant fallacy). The syllogism: "Iron Will gives +2 Will saves. Discipline gives +2 Will saves. Iron Will = Discipline," is clearly false, which should demonstrate why one doesn't work for the other. |

Other examples for nice sub feats for Iron Will are Strong Soul and Bullheaded. Alertness could possibly be substituted for Blooded or Forester. It would represent a unique advantage that people born from certain regions could have advancing in the PrC. |
