12-23-06, 05:05 PM A similar trick can be used with the Mark of Passage and the Knight Phantom. This would allow unusual casting classes, such as the warlock, to enter without a concern. It is also a nice alternative to Extra Spell in the case of the duskblade or hexblade, assuming that your DM follows the FAQ ruling instead of the text of the feat.

12-23-06, 05:24 PM The problem will come from the PrCs ... for instance I think Combat Medic specifically "advances the spellcasting from the class you cast cure light wounds" or somesuch. You can get in, but its usefulness is limited.

There are a few like that esp. with dragonmarks. Mindbender, maybe Mindspy and a few others are SLA-able.

How many PrCs specify a spell other than x-level arcane/divine spells? Arcane Trickster is another ...

12-23-06, 09:31 PM A human can get into Knight Phantom one level earlier. You need Still Spell the feat, martial weapon profs, ride 4 ranks and Phantom Steed. Phantom steed you can manage by a traditional method w/ a 5th level wizard (or earlier if you can work one of the early spellcasting things) + one level of a martial class putting you in at 7th. You could do this with a level of a martial class and a lead-in into Dragonmark Heir. Something like ...

Fighter 1, Caster 3, Dragonmark Heir 1 putting you in at 6th. You're short a caster level but depending on the caster you pick that might not concern you so much.
