I think Althasian Humans become the race for PsiWar

Its +1 lvl adj so you give up;

1 manifestor level (DC and 1 - 6th lvl power), 12 power points (from 20th PW), +1 bab, +1 Fort save, 1 bonus feat.

You get;

+2 to any 2 stats (makes up for having to use Wis along with Str and Con)

18 power points

4 powers from the psion/wilder list (1 each 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th - lvl power) This is like getting the Expand Knowledge Feat 4 times for free.

You still get your Human bonus feat and skillpoints

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Another thought but mixing the Tortoise Blade shield from Dragon #219 With Deep crystal gives all TWF w/ 2 Shield fighters another way to crank up the damage

I haven't seen this race in print yet, but it seems it would also be a good race for Wilder or maybe Warmind. Buy off the ECL with the Unearthed Arcana rules for more Ultimate Power.

Dark Sun Races

Basicly the Dark sun races are almost all +1 Lvl (or greater) Adj in exchange for Stat and Power Point bumps to reflect the old Dark Sun starting at level 3 rule;

Also look at Muls (half-Dwarves) + 1Lvl Adj;
+ 2 Str
+ 4 Con
Fast Healing ( 1 then 2 then 3 at 15th lvl)
+3 Power Points and the offensive presicence power

Zug Zug.

"4 powers from the psion/wilder list (1 each 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th - lvl power) This is like getting the Expand Knowledge Feat 4 times for free. "

Well, almost, considering you can't get amazing disciple specific powers like Metamorphisis and Schism.

Also, you'll lose some bonus pp from high wis being 19th level instead of 20th - most likely end up behind on pp.

Still, quite a decent race. Prolly a tad overpowered.

Cheers

For now assume only the +4 to Wis from leveling up (i.e no tombs etc.)

So:
20th level human with 22 Wis
bonus pp = 60

19th level Althasian Humans with 24 Wis (one if his 2 +2 to stats)
bonus pp = 66

Don't overlook the fact that in DarkSun weapons aren't all made of iron. So they are more fragile and less effective. Those races are campaign specific.

1) Well you can make a weapon out of anything you want does not have to be Dark Sun Materials

2) Half the races and feats used by people on this board are specific to Faerūn doesn't seem to stop anyone

There is nothing new under the sun just different ways of looking at them

Athasian human is really best for a Cerebremancer, IMO. You actually end up a caster level ahead, including the level adjustment (LA+1/Wiz 4/Psi 1/Cer vs. Wiz 3/Psi 3/Cer). This, combined with the ability increases (Int and Con, most likely), make the combination almost worthwhile.
