from the BoVD?

why?

Q: Can we Min/Max things from the “Book of Vile Darkness” on this board?
A: No. All content from the BoVD is to be discussed in the BoVD forum, even those dealing with Min/Maxing. I was told that any BoVD discussion not in the appropriate forum will be shut down

The subject matter of that book is mature, and so that board is limited to adults. This board, however, is open to all ages, and so discussion of restricted material is not allowed here.

um, people make builds with the vow of poverty all the time. that comes from the Book of Exalted Deeds which is also mature. so your reasoning is kinda flawed if its based on whether or not the stuff in the books is mature or not.

and we aren't talking about making characters rape people, we are talking about min/maxing.

As long as you leave the mature feats/abilities out (there are some quite filthy feats and such in there), I think it's alright.

and we aren't talking about making characters rape people, we are talking about min/maxing.

You are just now :P

Because heaven knows we never mention the Ur-Priest of Thrall of Jubilx in here.

Everyone ingnores that part as long as you stick to the mehanics alone.

i think there is no problem with stuff out of the BoVD as long as you stay with the mechanics.
i think the increased critical or other abilities are not really considered mature.

additional there is the fact that this is one of the less moderated boards, things tend to be handled by the members themselves.

could be that some WizO tends to have a different opinion, but until stated: go ahead and use the material out of BoVD and BoED, just try to keep things non-mature.
i can not remember to have seen anything mature over here.
