Hi Guys,

Long time lurker, been trying to soak it all up, but thought I'd ask for some more direct help this time. Here is my current character:

Amodaus Quickblade
Elf Fighter(8) LG Male

STR 19
DEX 17
CON 14
INT 14
WIS 10
CHA 12

Feats:
*Exotic Weapon (Elven Slimblade) - Complete Warrior (1d8 18-20 x2)
Weapon Focus (Slimblade)
Weapon Specialization (Slimblade)
Two Weapon Fighting
Improved Two Weapon Fighting
Power Critical (Slimblade)
Improved Critical (Slimblade)
Two Weapon Defence

Weapons: (Attacks are: +10/+5 +10/+5)
Acid Burst Slimblade +1 (+2d4 Acid Damage on a crit)
Slimblade +1

Armour: (Total AC is 20)
Full Plate

ok, hopefully from the above you can tell that I have a TWF that concentrates on crits. 15+ is a crit threat, and with Power Critical, most threats are crits.

My question, is where to go from now. I've put my two stat points into strength, not dex, I'm not planning on getting GTWF for the third offhand. And I think its time to leave Fighter... I was thinking about Dragon Samurai (Miniatures Handbook) in an effort to get the +1d6 Elemental Damage on each of my attacks by the time I'm lvl 12, at the cost of only 1 BAB.

Another option would be Rogue for the Sneak Attack (but I am the front line fighter in a very small party) or perhaps Dragon Disciple just because the STR bonuses would be good and I love the class...

I could also use some ideas on feats, currently on my "to get list" is Improved Two Weapon Defence and Power Attack -> Cleave although none seem overly endearing.

I'd appreaciate any thoughts you might have on optimising this character, thanks.

I would say dervish, but you could never qualify from where you are now. And you would have to use a slashing weapon. So forget it.

I'm sorry, but from an optimization point of view, you wasted 6 levels and/or 6 feats. weapon focus/specialization, imp crit, power crit, ewp: elven slimblade, two weapon defense.

Considering this I would say go rogue for a few levels, maybe adding swashbuckler3 for int to damage.

Get lost of that full plate and use a mithril breastplate instead.

Acid burst is crap, try an +1 acidic screaming slimblade instead. Gives you +2d6 damage on every hit.

I dont regret the levels I've spent, this guys damage output is amazing, he killed a Troll in two rounds.

As for weapons & armour I'm not really at a place in our campaign where I can get stuff commisioned, though I did start of with a breastplate and still have it.

Rogue is a possiblity, but then I would be relying on flanking to get in my sneak damage...

Any other options for class/prestige/feats ?

Well, going with what you have, you might consider EWM for the exotic two-weapon fighting ability.

Unfourtunatly this feat only applys to "light" weapons, the elven thinblade (as it is in the book, my bad) is one-handed, not light =(

Exotic weapon master allows you to do lots of things with exotic weapons, and some of them are pretty good. Exotic sunder is quite good, and the ability where you get x2 Str bonus can be valuable on occasion too.

I would think about becoming more versatile. What will you do when attacked by harpy archers? TWF is good, sure, but it doesn't do everything. As the fighter in your group, you need to be effective all the time.

Also, there are a LOT of nifty prestige classes out there. Find one. Preferably one that will help your Reflex and Will saves.

Good luck,

becoming more versitile is an interesting idea... as I'm in a campaign where there is usually only 2 players / chars...

Not got the Wisdom to go cleric tho =(
