Guys, I need some help. I've been trying to think of a way of getting a primary arcane caster the ability to use divine magic items like scrolls and wands. Is there a prestige class that grants this ability? I know that I could always advance in levels of things that grant UMD, but this is highly unoptimized. The closest thing that I can remember is that Rainbow Servant gives you access to the cleric spell list once you reach level 10 in it. I don't have my books with me ATM, so I can't do further research. Any help is appreciated.

Take Paragon Human levels and pick Use Magic Device as one of the skills that is always considered a class skill for you.

Well, if you have specific divine items in mind...you could take Arcane Domain from Complete Divine.

Unfortunately, Arcane Domain only works if the spells in question are actually domain spells.

The Eldritch master PrC will give the Rainbow servant goodies in 4 levels (but no domains or wings).

How about a level of Cleric?

You could always bite the bullet and take one level of cleric.

The arcane gnome from dragon 291 gets UMD as a class skill, and a +2 to int :)

Loremaster (one of the best wizard PRCs) has UMD as a class skill.

Hmm...Loremaster might work. I was really trying to avoid a level of cleric...oh well.

Why tryign to avoid cleric? Its one of, if nto THE best 1 dip class in the game:
d8 + All amor Prof + Turn Undead ( Ability + Fuel divine feats ) + Spells + 2 domains ( And you get the domain abilities ).

I know you prob dont wanna suffer the loss of one spell lvl advancment on yoru Arcane caster - But to me, Its the most reliable, and a Very viable choice to get acess to Divine use activated items + a chunk of class features/Abilities
